RESOLUTION HONORING THE PUBLIC SERVICE RENDERED BY
MARIE GRIMM
AS A MEMBER OF THE SAINT PAUL CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Marie Grimm has served on the Saint Paul City Council continuously from May of 1992 through
December of 1995 representing East Side neighborhoods of Railroad Island, Payne /Arcade, Phalen,
Prosperity /Maryland, Hazel Park, Hayden Heights, and Hillcrest; and
WHEREAS, Marie Grimm has served as the Chair of the City Council's Community and Economic Development
Committee providing her guidance and vision on issues ranging from reviewing the review of the City's Draft
Transportation Plan to working towards elimination of duplicate housing inspection services from the City and
federal government in Section 8 properties; and
WHEREAS, Marie Grimm has provided leadership in the City of Saint Paul and the metropolitan region through
her participation on many boards, comtnittees and working groups including the Association of Metropolitan
Municipalities, the Metropolitan Council's Transportation Advisory Board, Greater Saint Paul Tomorrow, and tlu
Minneapolis Chamber /McKnight Foundation's Steering Committee that is currently forging regional strategies for
economic and workforce development; and
WHEREAS, Marie Grimm has provided leadership in the development of plans to revitalize the East Side of Saint
Paul including the plans for Railroad Island and the Phalen Corridor; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the_Saint Paul City Council recognizes the outstanding public service rendered by Marie Grimm
as a member of this ,o. .
