2 WHEREAS, Section 125.02(a) of the Saint Paul Legislative Code requires the Use -of- Street
3 permit table of fees to be amended annually and at other times as deemed necessary; and

5 WHERES, the last increase in Use -of- Street permit fees was January 1, 1995; and
6
7 WHEREAS, on January 1, 1995, said permit fees were increased five percent to cover the
8 annual rise in cost of administering these permits; now, therefore
9
1 0 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the
1 1 Director of Public Works, approves an additional five percent permit fee increase by adopting
12 the attached table of fees; and
13
14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said fee schedule shall be effective January 1, 1996.

Public Works is working on a new permit fee structure that will have increased fees for cutting newer streets. This will
likely be introduced in the first half of 1996.
DISADVANTAGES IF NOT APPROVED:
Projected revenue from Use -of- Street permits for 1996 would be the same as 1995.
