1 WHEREAS, Chapter 162.05 of the Legislative Code authorizes the Council, by Resolution, to establish
2 towing and storage charges for vehicles impounded by the City, and
3
4 WHEREAS, There has existed from January 17, 1985, until now an $8.00 daily storage fee, and
5
6 NOW, THE1tEFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed
7 to charge storage at the Saint Paul Police Department Impound Lot at the rate of $12.00 per day, starting
8 the first full day after a vehicle is impounded.

The Saint Paul Police Department Impound Lot has charged the same rate ($8.00 per day) for storage since January 17,
1985. Budget Towing, Twin Cities Towing, and Southeast Towing charge $ 15.00 per day. h Impound Lot
charges $12 .00 per day and Ramsey County is $10.00 per day, plus 20% of tow amount. REC
