CITY COUNCIL RESEARCH CENTER STUDY
"COMMUNITY-BASED CRIME PREVENTION IN SAINT PAUL"
1 WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council directed Council Research to conduct an evaluation of the
2 Neighborhood Crime Prevention Grant Program and the Safe City Iniriative (Council File #94-1471); and
3 WHEREAS, in response to that directive, the City Council Research Center has prepazed a report entitled
4 "Commusuty-Based Crime Prevention in Saint Paul;" now, therefore, be it
5 RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the "Community-Based Crnne Prevention in Saint Paul" report.

3. Resolution 95-849 - Requesting the Department of Public Works and the Police Department
to develop a strategy to help make Saint Paul streets safer from speeders and reckless drivers,
that the City Council request that the Mnnesota State Izgislature allow the City of Saint Paul
to be creative in uaffic enforcement, and that the City adopt, with community input, a ZERO
TOLERANCE policy for traffic violators (Referred &om Council7-26-95).
