1 WfiEREAS, 5tate of Minnesota Laws of 1995, Chapter 220, Section 19, includes
2 an appropriation from the Environmental Truat Fund, as recommended by the
3 Legislative Commission on Minnesota ResourCes (LCMR), for the continued
4 restoration o£ the Como Park Conaervatory, and
5 WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has appropriated Regional Parks and Open
6 Space bond funds for said Conservatory restoration project, and

Wf�REAS, said project appropriations are to be received by the City via
grant agreement between the City and the Metropolitan council,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council o£ the City of Saint Paul, that
the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to execute agreements with
the Metropolitan Council to accept and implement said grant, and
FURTHER RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Mayor and the poeiti
of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that the Capital
Improvement Budget as heretofore adopted and amended by the Council, is
further amended as follows:

The State and the Metropolitan Council have appropriated funds for the City's continued
restoration of the Como Conservatory. This grant will fund work on the main entrance area
and related utilities.
