95-620Council File # 95-6 ,� p Green sheet #'3 3 0 17 RESOLUTlON AINT PAUL, MINNESOTA Presented By Referred to Committee: Date 1 WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Divi5ion of Parks and Recreation holds a 3.2 beer and 2 wine license for the City's Harriet Island Park; and 3 WHEREAS, Section 19, Chapter 554, Minnesota Laws 1990 pursuant to Minnesota 4 Stat�*__s 1988, Chapter 654.021 allows the Division of Parks and Recreation, with 5 City Council approval, to sell wine, and 3.2 beer at events sponsored by the 6 Divi5ion of Parks and Recreation; and 7 WHEREAS, the Division of Parks and Recreation is sponsoring and event at 8 Harriet Island Park on Sunday, June 11, 1995 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m, to 9 celebrate the arrival of the University of Minnesota Showboat to Saint Paul, and: 1� WfiEREAS, event organizers desire to sell 3.2 beer and wine coolers at the 11 event. 12 13 14 15 16 17 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Division of Parks and Recreation may se11 3.2 beer and wine at its event using the license that the Division holds, under the following terms and conditions. �1 2 Sales may occur between 12:00 noon and 10:00 p.m. That prudent care will be taken to insure that all sales are made to persons age twenty-one (21) and older. 18 3. That proof of age for purposes of purchasing, possessing or consuming 19 3.2 beerand/or wine will be required by the issuing of non-removable arm 20 bracelets to individuals who have verified by valid drivers license or 21 identification card that they are the age of twenty-one (21) or older. 22 4. That prudent care will be taken to insure that no sales are made to 23 individuals who are or appear to be intoxicated. �l S - ��o 1 5. As part of that celebration a one-day festival is planned for Harriet Island. The availability of 3.2 beer at the event is desired.
