WHEREAS, various Departments and Divisions of the City of Saint Paul have
provided goods or services to civic and charitable organizations for community
related events; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has adopted a policy requiring that civic and
charitable organizations pay for the costs of providing these goods or services; and
WHEREAS, due to a variety of factors and circumstances Grand Old DayS has been
unable to pay the bill from the 1994 Grand Old Day with a value of $14,036.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there has been a public puxpose served by
the organization who conducted the event which resulted in this bill, in that this
event has provided recreational opportvnities, promotion of Saint Paul as a
recreational place, and has benefited community residents; now therefore, be it
x�SSOLVED, that debt represented by the Grand Old Day bill with a value of
$14,036.00, is hereby cancelled and forgiven.
