5 RESOLVED, that in accordance with Section 169.14, Subdivision 5, of the Minnesota
6 Motor Vehicle and Traffic Laws, the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby requests the
7 Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Transportation to determine the safe speed on
8 the following street or portions thereof:

10 Mississippi River Boulevard from Emerald Street to Shepard Road
11
12 and to authorize the City of Saint Paul to review the existing speed zones in accordance with the
13 findings of the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The Traffic Division has received Community Resolutions from the Merriam Park Community Council
and the Highland Area Community Council, along with requests from motorists, that the existing
speed limit mph) on Mississippi River Bivd. from Emerald Streei to Shepard Road is excessive
and should e lowered to 25 mph.
