RESOLUTION
CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA

Whereas, The off-sale liquor establishments at the present
time may be located in business districts without regard to the
proximity of other similar establishments; and
Whereas, The Council is concerned that there may be a need
to regulate the location of off-sale liquor establishments by
means of zoning provisions and that a study should be conducted
for the purpose o£ advising this Council; now therefore be it
Resolved, That the City Council does hereby request that the
staff of the Planning Division, Department of Planning and
Economic Development, conduct a study or studies involving off-
sale liquor establishments to determine whether those uses
require additional special zoning consideration because of any
adverse effects that may be caused or related to those types of
uses; that the Planning Commission review those findings,
conclusions and recommendations for the purpose of providing the
Council with advice and recommendations; and that the Council be
presented with the reports and advice of the Planning Division
and the Planning Commission; and be it
Further Resolved, That the Office of License, Inspections
and Environmental Protection is hereby directed not to accept any
