WHEREA'S, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) wiil be opening bids for the
construction of a noise barrier wall on trunk highway right-of-way property on the east side of
Trunk Highway 280 beginning from a point just north of Territorial Road to a point 1,000 feet
south of Como, and
WHEREAS, the MnDOT identification number for the above plan is SP 6242-61 and the design
ofi this plan has been completed by the authority and responsibility of MnDOT, as weli as all
future construction work associated with this pian, and
WHEREAS, MnDOT plan number SP 6242-61 is endorsed by Planning District Number 12
(St. Anthony Park Community Counci() and the citizens it represents, and
WHEREAS, MnDOT plan number SP 6242-61 has been reviewed by Department of Public
Works engineering staff and they have determined the pian to be acceptable, now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul supports Neighborhood District 12's
goal to reduce TH 280 traffic noise in the St. Paul neighborhood adjacent to that highway and
hereby approves MnDOT pian number SP 6242-61 to make this,improvement.
