CTTY COUNCIL RESOLUTION SUPPORTING SPECIAL LEGISLATION
ON CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BONDII�G PROGRAM
WI�REAS, in 1971 the Minnesota Legislature adopted special legislation authorizing the
City of Saint Paul to issue general obligation bonds for capital improvements within the City;
WHEREAS, the authorizing legislation provides that capital improvement bonds can only be
issued for a m�imum period of ten yeazs; and
WIIEREAS, the ability to issue capital improvements bonds for a longer period of time
would provide the City needed flexibility in structuring its capital improvement program.
NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT RESOLVED:
1. The City Council supports legislation extending the time period for which capital ��, ��
improvement bonds can be issued under 1971 Minn. Laws cha ter 773 as amended fromAten

2. The City Council adopts this rgislative proposal as part of the City's 1995 legislative i ��
package and requests the City's Intergovernmental Relarions staff to communicate the City's
support of this proposal to the Saint Paul legislative delegation and to actively seek to secure �`'����
its passage during the 1995 legislarive session.
