95-336ORIGI.NA Presented �B Referred To 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 CounciL Pile Green Sheet RESOLIITZON OF SAINT PAIIL� MINNESOTA � Comnittee: DaTe # 9� 3 3b # � �s.� � Drop-in Center Comprehensive Plan and 2oning Amendment Study WHEREAS, the zoning code does not specify in which zoning districts drop-in centers are permitted; and WHEREAS, there have been over 300 police calls to the two downtown drop-in centers; and WHEREAS, the concentration of drop-in centers may increase the vulnerability of the service users to criminal activity; and WHEREAS, there appears to be desirability to ensure that such drop-in centers do not concentrate near one another; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to determine in which zoning districts and under what conditions drop-in centers should be permitted in the City; 13 14 15 16 17 18 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby request that the Planning Commission of Saint Paul study possible amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and zoning regulations concerning drop-in centers and report baok to the Council its findings and recommendations within a reasonable amount of time from the date of the adoption of this resolution.
