95-302.. .,, � �RlGIf�AL Council File # �� '30� Green Sheet # 26002 RESOLUTION CITY OF SAINT PAUL, M Presented By Referred To Committee: Date 1 WHEREAS, On October 19,1994, the Mayor recommended, and the Council approved Council 2 Resolution, C.F. 94-1427, which reaffirms the support of a thirteen to fifteen year residential 3 street paving program to begin in 1996 following the Combined Sewer Separation Program, and 4 5 6 7 8 9 ifl 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 WHEREAS, 1996 Residential Street Paving Program projects require immediate commencement of design to facilitate the most economical contract bids that early contract awards normally result in, and WHEREAS, the comprehensive project selection process would prohibit early 1996 contract awards, and WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works in cooperation with the various utilities has recommended a 1996 program of seven projects that optimize utility concerns, which recommendation has been received by ali the District Councils without objection, and approved by resolution of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee with the addition of project priorities, a copy of which is attached along with a map showing all 88 numbered project areas in the City; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the list of seven projects for residential paving in i996 as recommended by Public Works and approved by the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that project areas 35, 64, and 81 be given first priority for construction, project areas 14 and 40 be given second priority, and if funding is sufficient, project areas 5 and 9 be given third priority.
