RESOLUTION ACCEPTING
MISSISSIPPI RIVER BOOKS ON BEHAI,F OF
THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL
WHEREAS, Captain Bill Bowell has donated copies of the book entitled "Cities
of the Mississippi: Nineteenth-Century Images of Urban Development" to the City of
Saint Paul by sending copies to councilmembers and other officials; and
WI�REAS, the purpose of such donations is to help educate elected and
appointed officials about the history and tradition of the River and the riverfront, and
serves a legitimate and worthwhile public purpose; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the books given to the council members and other city officials
are hereby declazed and determined to be gifts to the City of Saint Paul; and, be it
FUR'TfIER RESOLVED, that the City Council and Mayor hereby authorize their
receipt and retention by the councilmembers and other of�icials on behalf of the City of
Saint Paul.
