T�FiEREP.S, the City of Saint Paul is an eligible applicant and desires to submit an
application foz construction of a children's play area at Jimmy Lee Recreation Center;
NOW TAEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul act as legal sponsor for
the Jimmy Lee Recreation Center Play Area Project contained in the Outdoor Recreation
Grant ?rogram to be submitted on Auqust 1 1994 and that the Mayor is hearby authorized to
apply to the Department o£ Natural Resources for funding of this project on behalf of the
C_ty of Saint Paul, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City o£ Saint Paul has the legal authority to apply
for financial assistance, and the institutional, managerial, and financiai capability to
ensure adequate construction, operation, maintenance and replacement of the proposed
project for its design Iife, and
BE IT E'URTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Saint ?aul has not iacurred any costs, has
not entered into any written agreements to purchase property, and
BE"IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City oE Saint Paul has not violated any Federal,
State, or Local laws pertaining to fzaud, bribery, qraft, kickbacks, collusion, conflict
of interest oz other unlawPul or corrupt pzactice, and
BE IT £URTHER RESOLVED that upon appzoval o£ its application by the state, the City
oP Saint Paul taay enter into�an agreement with the State o£ Minnesota for the above-
re£erenced nroject, and that the City o£ Saint Pau1 certifies that it will comply with all
applicable laws and regulations as stated in the contract agreement and described in the
Compliances section of the Outdoor Recreation Grant Program Application, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT £ZNALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Saint Paul is
hearby authorized to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the project or.
behalf of the City.
