RE: Claim against the City of St. Paul
Claimant: Ms. Alexandra Shayda
Our File Number: S-95-0331
Dear Ms. Rettman:
S ,
I am requesting that the above-referenced claim be submitted
directly to the City Council for consideration under a suspension
of the rules. I am making this request because a delay in the
passage of this resolution will increase the City's liability in
this matter.
Ms. Shaydas vehicle was damaged as a result of an accident with a
City vehicle. Ms. Shayda's vehicle has already been repaired but
she is unable to pay Buerkle for the repairs until she receives a
settlement check. As this is Ms. Shayda's only vehicle, the City
is liable for her car rental at $16.95 per day until she receives
her settlement check. Buerkle has agreed to release Ms. Shayda's
vehicle pending payment from the City provided they receive payment
within 30 days.
Thank you Por considerinq my request.
Sincerely,
G7y'!?/ly 'j. j
