The existing speed limit on Larpenteur Avenue is 35 mph or less between Snelling Avenue and Oxford Street, and 40 mph between Oxford Street and Dale Street. Design standards require 12' lanes for speeds greater than 35 mph, and 11' lanes tor design speeds 3b mph and below. A reduction in speed limit on Larpenteur Avenue between Oxfiord Streei and Dale Street will allow reconstruction of the roadway at a narrower width.
