Improvements include the installation of pavement mazkings, signage, street lighting in certain azeas,
bump-outs, sidewalk and other elements as needed to complete said project.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul having received the report of the Mayor upon the above
improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
That the said report and the same is hereby approve with no altematives, and that the estimated
cost thereof is $ 1,000,000.00 , financed by a TLC NTP Grant, CIB Funds and assessments.
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the Sth da o�y, 2010, at 530 p•m•,
in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.
3. That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in the manner provided by the
Charter, stating the time and place of hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost
thereof as estimated.

As part of a federal transportaion bill, money was allocated for a non-motorized transportation program, to connect Minneapolis with
its surrounding areas.

A safe bikeway will be developed connecting Mpls with St Paul's part of the Sam Morgan Bike Trail.
Disadvantages If Approved:
Lighting assessments for a portion of the project.
Disadvantages If Not Approved:
The funding for such a bikeway improvement might not be available.
