In the Matter of improving the following street by constructing a standard
lantern style lighting system and doing all other necessary work to
complete said lighting improvement:
WINIFRED STREBT - Between Ohio Street and Hall Avenue
The Council of the City of Saint Paul having received the report of the
Mayor upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby
resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approve with no
alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $279,500.00 financed by
Minnesota State Aid and assessments.
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 2nd day of
April, 2008, at 5:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hal1
and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.
3. That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in the
manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of hearing, the
nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.

Project
Construct a standard lantem style street lighting system on Winifred Street from Hall Avenue to
Ohio Street.
Initiating Action
The project is being implemented by the Department of Public Wortcs in conjunction with the
approval by the CIB Committee for the instailation of residential lantern style lighting on Winifred
Street from Hall Avenue to Ohio Street in 2008. The lantern style lighting is the City of St. Paul
Street Lighting Policy recommended style of lighting for residential streets.
Proposed Improvements
ft is proposed to instafl 14 foot talf single redesigned historic lantem style street lighting system
on Winifred Street from Hall Avenue to Ohio Street.
Positive Benefits
The new light installation will enhance Winifred Street and light Winifred to city standards.
