That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is
$ 9.100.000. financed by Federal TEA 21 Funds, Municipal State Aid and 2003/04 CIB.

That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the Mav 28. 2003, 5:30 P.M., in the CouncIl Chambers ofthe
City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.
That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the flme
and place of hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.

This project is the second phase of planned conshuction of Phalen Boulevard between I-35E and Johnson Parkway.
ADVANTAGES IF APPROVED:
Construction of this phase of the project will connect Phalen Boulevard to the Arcade Sfreet commercial coiridor, 3M, provide access for
development of the Whirlpool Building 17 site, provide access for planned recreational development and connect the Phalen Boulevard
Trail to the Bruce Vento Regional Trail System.
