PRELIMINARY ORDER

In the Matter of the construction of water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer
service connections and sidewalk reconstruction, if requested by the property
owner, in conjunction with the ST. CLAIR AVENUE/CLIFF STREET PAVTNG AND
LIGHTING PROJECT.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul having received the report of the
Mayor upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby
resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no
alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is assessed at
the rate in effect at the time of installation.
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on Wednesday, 23th
of January, 20�2, at 5:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.

A newly rebuilS roadway, with new wrbs, lantern style street lighting will improve aesthetics of the neighborhood. The proposed na[rowing
of the street wi17 allow for more green space and wider sidewalks. The roadway has been designed to accommoda[e bicycles. The bicycles
wil] "shaze the mad" with moror vehicles. New street lighting wili also improve safety in the atea.
