FILg NO � 9's-S3D Zn the �iatter of Improve the following brick streets as outlined: P.EAAOOD PABP.AAY — Around the circle and from the circle to St. Albans Street by reconstructing the roadway surface with salvaged existing brick and supplemental brick; reconstruction of the sidewalk and integral curb around the circle — straight curb around the park and leave the eaisting sidewalk and integral curb on Renwood Parkway from the circle to St. Albans Street; new concrete drivewap aprons; storm sewer construction around the circle; replace the existing sanitary sewer and service connections around the circle and do all other work necessary to complete said improvement. MAIDSN LAHE — From Selby Avenue to Nina Street by reconstructing the roadway surface with salvaged existing brick and supplemental brick; install granite curb where there is not already curb on the private side of the progerty line; install a lantern style lighting system; constructing a storm sewer and do all other work necessary to complete said improvement. VIxGIHIA STBEST — From Summit Avenue to Selby Avenue by reconstructing the roadway surface with salvaged and supplemental brick; reset the existing granite curb; construct concrete drivewap aprons where there is not an existing brick apron; relay existing brick aprons; construct concrete outwalks; sod boulevards; constructing a storm sewer and do all other work necessary to complete said improvement. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $644,013.38 financed by 1995 Intermodal Surface Transportation Enhancement Act STP Funds $304,220, 1995 Capital Improvement Bonds $39,453.53, Sewer Revenue Bonds $166,881 and Assessments $133,458.85. 2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 13th day of_September, 1995, at 3:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul. 3. That notice of said the manner provided hearing, the nature as estimated. Reconstructing the streeu at ihe sarne time saves money and inconvenience to the property owners. All three of these streets are in pooc condition and need reconstruction. These neighborhoods will be enhanced by the improvement of the streeu. This project will maintain the historic chazacter of the neighborhood. DiSADVAN7AGES IF APPROVED: The coscs to both the property owners and the City will be higher [han if the streets were reconswcted with asphalt surfaces. DISADVANTAGES IF NOT APPROVED: This is pazi of the City's National Polluaon Dischazge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit Not proceeding with this work may resalt in penalties. These streets aze in need of improvement, and the neighborhoods now expect that their streets will be reconstructed at the lime the sewers are constructed.
