In the Hatter of Improve Hoyt Avenue bet.ween Victoria Street and Avon Street
by grading, paving with bituminous, constructing concrete curb and gutter,
driveway aprons, walks, placing topsoil and sodding boulevards, constructing
storm sewer, installing lantern style street lighting and doing all other
work necessary to complete said improvement.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul having received the report of
the Mayor upon the above improvement, and having considered said report,
hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no
alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $173,500
financed by Municipal State Aid $166,000. and Assessments
$7,500.
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 19th
day of July, 1995 , at 3:30 o`clock P.M., in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall and Court ftouse Building in the City of
Saint Paul.

Hoyt Avenue between Hamline and Grotto is a bus route. Hoyt Avenue between Hamiine and �ctoria will be reconstructed in I
1995 with MSA Funds. It is proposed to add Hoyt Avenue between Victoria and Grotto to the MSA System. Hoyt between
Avon and Grotto is already paved. Hoyt between Victoria and Avon is an oiled street which is in poor condition.
It is proposed to pave Hoyt between Victoria and Avon to complete the paving of the bus route.
A newfy rebuift roadway, wfth new curb and gutter, will restore the drivability of this street and continue our etforts to improve
the street system in Saint Paul. The new street lighting will also improve safety in the area.
Normal problems associated with construction, such as noise, dust, and general disruption wiil occur.
