ADVANiAGESIPAPPPOVED:
The construcaon of the storm sewers will reduce wmbined sewage overflow to the Mississippi River during rains.
Reconstrucung the sveets at the same ume saves money and incomenience to the property owners. All three of these streets aze in poor
condition and need reconswction. These neighborhoods wIll be enhanced by the improvement of the s7eets.
This project wili maintain [he historic chazacter of the neighborhood.
DISADVANTAGES IF APPROVED:
The cosu to both the properry owners and the City will be higher than if the streeu were reconstructed with asphait surfaces.
DISADVANTAGE$ IF NOT APPROVED:
This is part of the City's Nauonal Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit Not proceeding with this work may result in
penalties.
These streets aze in need of improvement, and the neighborhoods now expect that their streeu will be reconswcted at the time the sewers aze
consmicted
Over $300,000 in Federal (ISTEA) funds would be forfeited.
