THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section i Section 170, Parks and Pazkways--Regulations, of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby amended to read as foilows: Sec.170.05. Boating. (a) Boats, etc. No person except the directar and those in his empioy shall, without the permission of the director, place upon any lake or other waters of the parks any float, boat, or other watercraft, or touch at with a boat, or land upon any place not designated as a landing piace. (b) Night boating prohibited. No person shail be or remain in boats or canoes or otherwise upon any lake or water under the jurisdiction of the directar between ll:00 pm. and daylight of the following morning. (c) Docking. No boat or canoe ar other watercraft shall be kept at any place except at the docks furnished by the department of community services and as designated by the director. (d) Renting prohibited. Except as otherwise permitted or licensed by the director, no person shall keep for rent or hire any motor boat, row boat, sail boat, canoe, ice boat or other watercraft upon any waters under the control of the director, and the fact that such boat or craft was rented or hired shall be conclusive evidence that it was kept for this purpose. (e) Inspection. Every boat and canoe kept on park waters shall be subject at all times to inspection, and any boat or canoe not furnished and equipped as required by law shall not be permitted on any pazk waters. �� i' I �i c� 4 (g} 5 6 � �) 8 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Safeay. No person shali operate any watercraft upon any lake or other waters of the parks contrary to or in violation of Chapter 361, Minnesota Statutes. Ice boats. Ice boats shall not be sailed nearer than one hundred (100} yards from places set apart and used for other ice sports. Impounding. The superintendent of pazks and recreation, under the direction of the d'uector, may remove or cause to be removed from any park, parkway, lake shore, border or park properties any obstruction, article or thing therein placed, kept or found, contrary to the provisions of this chapter, at the expense of the owner or other persons responsible for such obstructions, and is empowered to do every act which the chief of police of the City of Saint Paul is empowered to do by city ordinance under similaz circumstances, including the sale or other disposal of articles to be removed. Whenever any boat, canoe or other property shall be left at any park or pazkway and is not claimed by the owner thereof during a period of sixty (60) days after the park season shall have closed, then the superintendent shall cause the same to be sold by the � xgenY contract and analysis services section manager of the City of Saint Paul after ten (10) days notice of such sale in the official paper, and the proceeds thereof shall be deposited in the treasury of said city to the credit of the serviees division of�arks and recreation. Section 2 That this ordinance revision shall take affect and be in force thiriy (30) days after its passage, approval and publication.
