That Section 2, of Council File 02-1115, an interim ardinance preserving the status quo of the
use of property in the Sun Ray-Suburban area, duly adopted on December 26, 2002, and
published on January 13, 2003, and made effective as provided under the City Charter on
February 12, 2003, is hereby amended to read:
Section 2
Moratorium imposed: lands affected: Pending completion of the said study and
any other necessary studies or study recommendations, and the adoption of any
amendments to the comprehensive plan and zoning code based upon the study or
studies, as provided under Minn. Stat. § 462.355, Subd. (4), the issuance of
approvals for plats, lot splits or building and zoning permits for any parcel of land
or part thereof within the areas of the Sun Ray-Suburban study area, as set forth
below, shall be prohibited for a period of time not to exceed t�elroe eiehteen (iz'�
18) months from the effective date of this ordinance. Until such time as said
study has been completed and the Council has reviewed its recommendations foz
possible adoption, city departments receiving written applications for the
approvals noted above shall accept the applications and immediately process them
in accordance with the provisions of Minn. Stat. § 15.99, Subd. 2 and with the
intent of this interim ordinance. The lands affected by this interim ordinance shall
be within the following boundary: N. McKnight Road and Wilson Avenue West
to Kennard Street South to Burns Avenue East to Ruth Street North to I-94 East to
N. McKnight Road and North to Wilson Avenue.

That all the other pzovisions of Council File No. 02-1115 shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4
This ordinance, amending the interim ordinance for the Sun Ray-Suburban area set forth in
Council File No. 02-ll 15, shall take effect and be in force 30 days from and after its passage,
approval and publication.
