THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1
Section 424.01 of the Saint Paul Legislarive Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

Sec. 424.01. License required; definition.

(a) No person shall engage in the business of keeping, maintaining or operating any gasek�x� gas
station in Saint Paul without a license.
(b) A" � ' as station" means and includes any place, building, puxnp or device maintained
and used on private premises or upon any public place for the main purpose of selling or dispensing gasoline,
oil or any automotive fuel for use in motor vehicles of any kind.
Secrion 2
Section 424.02 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 424.02. Fee.

The fees required for licenses shall be established bv ordinance as snecified in section 310 09Lb1 of the

Both Chapters 424 and 310 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code cite the fee for a
Gas Station license; the two chapters are not consistent which results in a
discrepancy in the amount of the fee for tihe license. `
VANTAGES IF APPROVED:
Citing Chapter 310 for the fee of the license in Chapter 424 will eliminate the
discrepancy of the Gas Station license fee.
ISADVANTAGES IF APPROVED:
