The Council of the City of Saint Paul does ordain that Saint Paul Legislative Code Chapter 34 shall be amended to read as follows: SECTION 1 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 Section 34.07. Definitions. Enforcement officer. The head of the department �7f fi:v and safety services, the division ofpub3ieirealfi�i Propertv Code Enforcement or the office oi license, inspections and environmental protection, or their duly authorized representatives. Section 34.24. Stay of enforcement/penalty. (I) Voluntary vacation ofpremises. No penalty shall be imposed upon any owner who serves written notice upon the Leeislative Hearine Officer stating an intent to permanently vacate the premises within thirty (30) days. Written notice must be filed with the baaret Hearing Officer within ten (10) days from the date on which the placard was placed on the property and shall include pxoof that notice of eviction was served upon the occupants of the condemned premises. (2) Stay pending appeal. . Enforcement proceedings or orders to correct violations shall be held in abeyance if the owner shall file an appeal Yo the pr�peri�-eade �aiar�c�rccnE Leeislative Hearine Officer within ten (10) days of receiving the written order issued by the enforcement officer, exce�t in the case of an order to vacate a structure which is deemed to be in an unsafe condition and dan�erous to life ar limb the enforcement officer shall proceed to order the buildine vacated until it is made safe or a fmal determination is made b�the Leeislative Hearing Officer allowing re- occupancX of the buildine.
