The Council of the City o£ Saint Paul has conducted a public hearing
upon the above improvement, due notice thereof having been given as
prescribed by the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, The Council has heard all persons, objections and
recommendations pertaining to said proposed improvement and has fully
considered the same; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby order
that the above-described improvement be made, and the proper City officers
are hereby directed and authorized to proceed with the improvement; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That upon the completion of said improvement, the
proper City officers shall calculate all expenses incurred therein and shall
report the same to the City Council in accordance with Chapter 14 of the City
Charter.

Above Standard Street Lighting System Construction

Project
Attached is a map of the area to be added to the Lowertown Maintenance Area.
Two 5-globe fixtures and two 3-globe fixtures are currently installed on the future
Temperance Street and the north side of Ninth Street. The yearly operation and
maintenance cost for the lights east of the future extension of Temperance St. is
estimated at $1,037.00.
Two 5-globe fixtures and five 3-globe fixtures are currently installed on the east side of
Sibley Street, the south side of Tenth Street and the north side of Ninth Street. The
yearly operation and maintenance cost for the lights east of the Sibley St. is estimated
at $1,575.00.
Initiating Action
Housing Development installed eleven, above standard, Globe Style Street Lights
System on Ninth St., Tenth St., Sibley St., and Temperance St.
Proposed Improvements
The area will be added into the Lowertown Maintenance Area.
Positive Benefits
The City will be able to assess for the lighting portion of the operation and maintenance
of the above standard system.
