The City proposes to construct a pedestrian and bicycle trail, which will link the elristing Bruce Vento Trail now terminafing at Payne and East 7th St, to Indian Mounds Park via Commercial Street and to Lowertown via 4th and Prince Streets. This new trail would include design, site preparation, bituwinous trail construction and re-vegetarion along the entire trail route, with some right of way acquisition for the trail se ment enterin Lowertown/Downtown. VANTAGES IF APPROVID: . The Project, when completed, would provide downtown residents, commuters and recreation trail users with an extremely valuable link to a large system of bicycle trails. A connection to the existing Bruce Vento Trail provides a link to 32 miles of paved off-road trail through Swede Hollow, Phalen-Keller Park and the Gateway TraiL The connection to Mounds Park via Commercial Street offers access to 15 miles of paved, off-road trai7s tLrough Mounds Park and Battle Creek Tra�.
