The Northem Wazehouse Building property is described as: L,ots I, 2, 3, and 4 in Block 61 of Kittson's Addirion to Saint Paul; together with that part of the adjacent alley that accrued thereto by reason of the vacation thereof; together with that part of Pine Street, as vacated, that accured thereto by teason of the vacation thereof. IhTITIATING ACTION: This improvement was initiated by the Northem Wazehouse Building owner upon request by the Ciry of Saint Paul. EXISTING CONDITIONS The existing structural walk azea serves as a roof for the azeaway beneath and as a raised loading dock facility for the adjacent Northern Wazehouse Building. The existing sevctural walk is in poor condition and must be reconstrvcted. PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT: Reconstruct public sidewalk and related work along ihe south side of Prince Street easterly of Broadway Street adjacent to the Northern Warehouse Building. The related work includes demolifion oF the existing azeaway (vault area beneath the sidewallc ) and loading dock facility, removal of assorted utilities from the areaway, removal of underground fuel tanlc from that azeaway, construction of closure walls in basement of adjacent building filling of the areaway with granular material, reconstrucfion of loading azea, installation of ornamental railing along sidewalk plaza azea, and conshuction of stairway up to main building entrance on Prince Street.
