The Council of the City of Saint Paul has conducted a public hearing upon the above improvement, due notice thereof
having been given as prescribed by the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, The Council has heard all persons, objecfions and recommendations pertaining to said proposed
improvement and has fully considered the same; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby order that the above-described improvement
be made, and the proper City officers aze hereby directed and authorized to proceed with the improvement; and be it
FURTFIER RESOLVED, That upon the completion of said improvement, the proper City officers shall calculate all
expenses incurred therein and shall report the same to the City Council in accordance with Chapter 14 of the City Charter.

Improve the alley in LOCKEY'S ADDITION, BLOCK 4 AND AD7ACENT TO LYTON'S ADDITION, LOTS 9
& 10 BLOCK 1(Bounded by Lyton Place, Sylvan, Atwater and Stellaz) by opening, grading and paving with
bimminous material. Also, condemning and taking and easement in the land necessary for the slopes, cuts and fills,
including right of removal of lateral support from subject land or land remainder thereof, occasioned by excavation
thereof or construction of siopes in the grading and paving of said alley.
INITIATING ACTION
This improvement was initiated by a petition signed by 63% of the abutting property owners.
EXISTING CONDITIONS
The alley is pla[ted ]0 feet wide. The alley is unimproved. The surface of the alley is gravel. The westernmost 50
feet is not public right-of-way, and requires opening by Council order.
Open the private segment wrrenUy functioning as a public alley, grade the alley to a width of 8 feet and place hot
mix bituminous pavement.
