Initiating Action The project was initiated by the "Mayors Urban Core Team" and "Saint Paul on the Mississippi Design Center". Existing Conditions Lighting in this area is currently provided by bent siraw lighting. Proposed Improvements Installation of 9 banner/light pylon poles (on the median), each with 5 luminaries. Positive Benefits This will be an attractive lighting system from which banners wiil be hung and illuminated. Adverse Effects This entire system is above standard, thereby resulting in additional capital, maintenance and operating costs. Time Schedule Construction to begin in spring/summer of 2000.
