99-982�����1•�� ,::� Presented Referred To RESOLUTION C1TY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA Council File # qq - Q8� Green Sheet # �p0'35 � � �o Committee Date 1 Whereas, the quality of life is supported and greatly enhanced by stability and constancy of its key institurion, and 2 Whereas, no community institution is more fundamental than the family, and family stability is increasingly 3 threatened by a wide variety of stresses and strains in today's society which makes cohesive and enduring families 4 more valuable not only to family members but to the entire community, and 5 Whereas, one means by which families celebrate their success in remaining a unit is through wedding anniversaries, 6 and a SOth or "golden" wedding anniversary is a particularly important landmark, and 7 Whereas, it is fitting and appropriate for the community to celebrate a golden anniversary along with the family of 8 the long-married couple because of the many benefits to the community of the stable family unit, and 9 Witereas, each month several Saint Paul families celebrate golden anniversaries, and 10 Whereas, one of those families who is celebraUng their golden anniversary is George and Mary Huss who were 11 married on October 8, 1949. 12 Now, Therefore, Be ItResolved, that the City Council congratulates George and Mary Huss on the occasion of their 13 golden anniversary and thanks the Huss's for their many contributions to Saint Paul.
