that the above-described improvement be made, and the proper City officers
are hereby directed and authorized to proceed with the improvement; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That upon the completion of said improvement, the
proper City officers shall calculate all expenses incurred therein and shall
report the same to the City Council in accordance with Chapter 14 of the City
Charter.

paving of said afley.
Attached are a Summary of Engineering Recommendations, an area map, and Green
Sheet.
This project was laid over indefinitefy at public hearing on February 10, 1999. We have
since added storm sewer to the proposal and revised the estimate. The residents
wou(d like to have this work completed this year, so I would like you to set up the public
hearing as soon as possible.

INITIATING ACTION:
This improvement was initiated by a petition signed by 81 %o of the property owners.
EXISTING CONDITIONS:
The alley is platted 20 feet wide. The surface of the alley is oiled.
PROPOSEDIMPROVEMENT:
Construct storm sewer and grade the alley to a width of 16' and place a hot mix bituminous pavement.

WHEREAS, The Council has heard all persons, objections and
recommendations pertaining to said proposed improvement and has fully
considered the same; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby order
that the above-described improvement be made, and the proper City officers
are hereby directed and authorized to proceed with the improvement; and be it

INITIATING ACTION:
This improvement was initiated by a petition signed by 81 %o of the property owners.
EXISTING CONDITIONS:
The alley is platted 20 feet wide. The surface of the alley is oiled.
PROPOSEDIMPROVEMENT:
Construct storm sewer and grade the alley to a width of 16' and place a hot mix bituminous pavement.

The Council of the City of Saint Paul has conducted a public hearing
upon the above improvement, due notice thereof having been given as
prescribed by the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, The Council has heard all persons, objections and
recommendations pertaining to said proposed improvement and has fully
considered the same; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby order
that the above-described improvement be made, and the proper City officers
are hereby directed and authorized to proceed with the improvement; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That upon the completion of said improvement, the
proper City officers shall calculaCe all expenses incurred therein and shall
report the same to the City Council in accordance with Chapter 14 of the City
Charter.

Improve the alley in BLOCK 3, RXAN PLACE (Bounded by Hartford, Mississippi
River Blvd., Randolph and Mount Curve Slvd.) by constructing storm sewer and
grading and paving with bituminous material. Also, condemning and taking an easement
in the land necessary for the slopes, cuts and fills, including right of removal of lateral
support from subject land or remainder thereof, occasioned by excavations thereof or
construction of slopes in the grading and paving of said alley.
This project was laid over indefinitely at public hearing an February 10, 1999. We
have since added stotm sewer to proposal and revised the estimate. The residents would
like to have this work completed this year, so I would like you to set up the public
hearing for August 11, 1999.

2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on Wednesday,
lOth dav of Februarv, 1999, at 5:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council
