are hereby directed and authorized to proceed with the improvement; and be it

This improvement was initiated by a petition signed by 60% of the property owners.
EXISTING CONDTTIONS:
The alley is platted 20 feet wide. The surface of the alley is oiled.
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT:
Grade the aliey to a width of 16' and place a hot mix bituminous pavement.

Improve the Alley in Block 6, Jefferson Park (bounded by Wellesley, Pascal, Stanford and
Albert) by grading and paving with bituminous material. Also, condemning and taking an
easement in the land necessary for the siopes, cuts and falls, including right of removal of lateral
support from subject land or remainder thereof, occasioned by excavations thereof of
construction of slopes in grading and paving of said alley.
INTI'IATING ACTION:
This improvement was initiated by a petition signed by 60% of the property owners.
EXISTING CONDTTIONS:
The alley is platted 20 feet wide. The surface of the alley is oiled.
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT:
Grade the aliey to a width of 16' and place a hot mix bituminous pavement.

In the Matter of improving the alley in Block 6, Jefferson Park (BOUnded by
Wellesley, Pascal, Sandford and Albert Project # 18892c-i with Pascal-
Jefferson Project 18882) by grading and paving with a bituminous material.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul having received the reporC of the
Mayor upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby
resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no
alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 19,200.00
financed by assessments only.
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on Wednesday,
3rd dav of March, 1999, at 5:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council
Chambers of the City Ha11 and Court House Building in the City of
Saint Paul.
3. That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in
the manner provided by the Charter, stating the ti.me and place of
hearing, Che nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof
as estimated.
