Improve the Alley in Block 6, Sylvan Park aud Block 3, Vernon's RE. (bounded by Jefferson,
Brimhall, Sanford and Sazatoga) by grading and paving with bituminous material. Also,
condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for the slopes, cuts and fills, including
right of removal of lateral support from subject land or remainder thereof, occasioned by
excavations thereof of construction of slopes in grading and paving of said alley.
INITIATING ACTION:
This improvement was initiated by a petition signed by 70% of the property owners.
EXISTING CONDTI'IONS:
The alley is platted 15 feet wide. The surface of the alley is oiled.
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT:
Grade the alley to a width of 14' and piace a hot mix bituminous pavement.

In the Matter of improving the alley in Block 6, Sylvan Park and Block 3
Vernon's RE.. (BOUnded by Jefferson, Brimhall, Sandford, and Saratoga Project
# 18892b-i with Pascal-Jefferson Project 18882) by grading and paving with a
bituminous material.
The Council of the City o£ Saint Paul having received the report of the
Mayor upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby
resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no
alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 19,184.00
financed by assessments only.
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on Wednesday,
3rd dav of March, 1999, at 5:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall and Court Aouse Building in the City of
Saint Paul.
3. That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in
the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place oE
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof
as estimated.
