rates, financed by assessments and 1998 Public Improvement Aid.
That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 3rd day of June, 1998,
at 5:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court Aouse

That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons anfl in the manner

Whereas, the City of Saint Paul is staging a night of celebration , , on
June 9. 199$ to hail the commencement of the construction of Lawson Commons, and;
Whereas, the City, Lawson Software, Krause Anderson, Frauenshuh Companies and Capital City PartnersHip
aze sponsoring a gala which will include refreshments, music and a ceremony welcoming Lawson to
downtown Saint Paul, now therefore, be it
Resolved, the Council of the City of Saint Paui hereby accept the generous contribution of L,awson Saftware,
Krause Anderson, Frauenshuh Companies and Capital City Partnership in defraying the cost of the
celebration and appropriates their contributions to that purpose, and;
Further Resolved, the City Council declares this event a publie purpose wbere by city employees and officiais
aze allowed to accept invitations to this gala event in celebration of downtown development, and;
Finally Resolved, the City hereby indemnifies Lawson Software, Krause Anderson, Frauenshuh Company,

provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of hearing, the nature of

Whereas, the City of Saint Paul is staging a night of celebration , , on
June 9. 199$ to hail the commencement of the construction of Lawson Commons, and;
Whereas, the City, Lawson Software, Krause Anderson, Frauenshuh Companies and Capital City PartnersHip
aze sponsoring a gala which will include refreshments, music and a ceremony welcoming Lawson to
downtown Saint Paul, now therefore, be it
Resolved, the Council of the City of Saint Paui hereby accept the generous contribution of L,awson Saftware,
Krause Anderson, Frauenshuh Companies and Capital City Partnership in defraying the cost of the
celebration and appropriates their contributions to that purpose, and;
Further Resolved, the City Council declares this event a publie purpose wbere by city employees and officiais
aze allowed to accept invitations to this gala event in celebration of downtown development, and;
Finally Resolved, the City hereby indemnifies Lawson Software, Krause Anderson, Frauenshuh Company,
Capital City Partnership, Media Rare, FirstStar Bank, and Allied Pazkine to the limits of Minnesota Statute
466 from any tort claims aniving out of the celebration on the I.awson Commons site.

The City Council passed a resolution (C.F. 98-424)regarding a night of celebration on June 9,
t998 declaring this event a public purpose, sponsored by Krause Anderson, Lawson Software,
