Also, condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for the slopes, cuts and fills, including right of removal of lateral support from subject land or remainder thereof, oceasioned by excavations thereof or wnstruction of slopes in the grading and paving of said alley. INITIATING ACTION: This improvement was initiated by a petition signed by 78% of the property owners. The property owners abutting [he alley have requested [hat four properties that do not have access to the alley not be assessed. The assessments on the remainder of [he properties will be increased to cover the costs of [he project. EXISTING CONDITIONS: The alley is platted 16 feet wide. The surface of the alley is oiled. Also, condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for the slopes, cuts and fills, including right of removal of lateral support from subject land or remainder thereof, oceasioned by excavations thereof or wnstruction of slopes in the grading and paving of said alley. INITIATING ACTION: This improvement was initiated by a petition signed by 78% of the property owners. The property owners abutting [he alley have requested [hat four properties that do not have access to the alley not be assessed. The assessments on the remainder of [he properties will be increased to cover the costs of [he project. EXISTING CONDITIONS: The alley is platted 16 feet wide. The surface of the alley is oiled. PROPOSEDIMPROVEMENT: Grade the alley to a width of lA' and place a hot mix bituminous pavement. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 40788.00 financed by assessments only. 2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on Wednesday, 2th day of December, 1998, at 5:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul. 3. That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of hearing, the nature of the improvement and the totul cost thereof as estimated.
