EXISTIATG CONDITIONS: The local streets in the project area include newer paved, oiled and older paved streets. Some of the oiled streets have sections of concrete curb. The oiled street surfaces are in fair to poor condition. Prospect Blvd. between Bidwell and Hall is an old paved street which was consuvcted in 1937, and is in poor condition. The newer paved streets and Prospect Blvd. between Bidwell and Hall have existing bent straw street lighting. The oiled streets have NSP wood pole lighting. EXISTIATG CONDITIONS: The local streets in the project area include newer paved, oiled and older paved streets. Some of the oiled streets have sections of concrete curb. The oiled street surfaces are in fair to poor condition. Prospect Blvd. between Bidwell and Hall is an old paved street which was consuvcted in 1937, and is in poor condition. The newer paved streets and Prospect Blvd. between Bidwell and Hall have existing bent straw street lighting. The oiled streets have NSP wood pole lighting. POSITIVE BEIvTEFITS: General improvement of the public right-of-way will enhance and add quality to the neighborhood. Street oiling would be eliminated. Lantem style lighting will enhance nei;hborhood safety and esthetics. ADVERSE EFFECTS: Normal problems associated with construction such as noise, dust and general disruption will be present. EFFEC'I'S ON TREES: The alignment of the curbs will be selected to nuninvze the ]oss of trees. New trees will be planted as part of the boulevard restoration TIME SCHEDULE: The project will begin in the spring of 1998 and will be completed by late fall of 1998. There will be funher restrictions on the amount of time work is done on individuai segments of streets.
