District 10 was successful in acquiring a grant from the STAR program for this work. Existing Conditions At present the area is served by i�dividual overhead lighting standards piaced over the years in response to needs, but in no systematic fashion. Underground conduit was piaced recently when the opportunity presented itself during paving in the area two years ago. Proposed Improvements It is proposed to light this commerciai area with approximately 15 twin lantern fixtures. Positive Benefits These improvements will heip provide a more pedestrian-friendiy streetscape in this commercial node. Adverse Effects increased operating costs. District 10 was successful in acquiring a grant from the STAR program for this work. Existing Conditions At present the area is served by i�dividual overhead lighting standards piaced over the years in response to needs, but in no systematic fashion. Underground conduit was piaced recently when the opportunity presented itself during paving in the area two years ago. Proposed Improvements It is proposed to light this commerciai area with approximately 15 twin lantern fixtures. Positive Benefits These improvements will heip provide a more pedestrian-friendiy streetscape in this commercial node. Adverse Effects increased operating costs.
