Existing Conditions Currently il(umination is provided by three 30' Bent straw style street lighting units, one(1) at Miss. River Bivd. and two(2) between Dayton and Marshall. The balance of Cretin Avenue, between Summit Avenue and Marshall Avenue is illuminated by seven {7) 150W NPS overhead fixtures mounted on wooden NSP power poles. The intersection at Cretin and Marshall is iiluminated by four (4) bent straw style street lights mounted on traffic signal poles. Proposed Improvements ' Install approximately 24 —14 foot, 150 Watt HPS, decorative lantern style street lights, staggered on both sides of Cretin Avenue from Marshail Avenue to Summit Avenue and approximately 2,700 lineal feet of interconnect cable between #he traffic signal systems on Marshail at Cretin and Summit at Cretin. Positive Benefits Improves safety conditions, enhances the aesthetics of the roadway and provides a communication link between traffic signais. Adverse Effects Increased maintenance and operating cosis. Time Schedule 1996 construction season.
