In 1994 they approached the City of Sairrt Paui in order to obtain design approval and agreement on cost sharing for the work to be done within Saint Paul (the North side of Annapotis). This has now been accomplished. The project wili be advertised and the Contract will be let by the City of South St. Paul. A newiy rebuiR roadway will improve the drivability of this street and continue our efforts to improve the street system in Saint Paul. The new street Iighting wili aiso improve safety in the area. Normat problems associated with consiruction, such as noise, dust, and generat disr�ption w�ll occur. INITIATING ACTION This improvement is part of a proposed Contract by the City of South St. Paul. It is part of a iarger combined sewer separation and street paving project. in 1994 they approached the City of Saint Paul in order to obtain design approval and agreement on cost sharing for the work to be done within Saint Paul (the North side of Annapoiis). �his has now been accomplished. The pro�ect will be advertised and the Co�tract will be let try the City of South St. Paul. EXISTING CONDITIONS The existing street is an oiled street and driving surface is in poor condition. The entire Iength is a 60 foot right-of-way. Existing overhead lighting is mounted on wood poles. PROPOSEDiMPROVEMENTS The entire fength of the project will be regraded and reconstructed with a fuff depth bituminous pavement. New concrete curb and gutter, driveway aprons, and outwalks will be constructed. Within the boulevard area, topsoii and sod wiN be placed. After construction comp{etion, trees wi11 be planted in the boulevards where needed. The proposed lighting system will consist of the lantern fight standards on the Saint Paul side of the street. The City of South 5t. Paul does not light their streets, and is not interested in doing so on Annapolis. TIME SCHEDULE Work will begin in early to mid-summer of 1995 and be comp(eted by freeze up in the fal4 of 1995. 1 FUNDING 3�y 95_ The estimated cost ot the work on Annapo{is is $193,000.00.
