WHEREAS, the Training Unit of the Saint Paul Police Deparhnent is conducting a two day training
course on Standazdized Field Sobriety Tests, and DUI Procedures for the 2009-1 Recruit Academy; and
WHEREAS, this training is scheduled for or around November 4th and Sth, 2009 and will be conducted
at the Saint Paul Police Department, 367 Grove Street, MN 55101; and
WHEREAS, this training is specifically designed to train new police recruits about the effects of
alcoholic beverages on people and the impairment it may cause, DWI Violarions/Minnesota Statutes and
Standazdized Field Sobriety testing, supervised by trained law enforcement specialist; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this training is to instruct new police recruits in DWI Violations and
Minnesota Statutes and Standardized Field Sobriety testing; and
THEREFORE BE TI' ORDERED, that pursuant to the 2009 City Budget, the proper City Officials are
hereby authorized to remit an amount not to exceed $650.00 to Big Top Wine and Spirits, 1574 University
Avenue West, Saint Paul, MN 55104 to cover expenses for alcoholic beverages and refreshments for civilian
volunteers participating in this training
A copy of said order is to be kept on file and of record in the Office of Financial Services
