The Risk Watch program was designed to reduce the high rate of unintentional injuries to children 5-14 years old. The workshop on Risk Watch is held after the school day and over the diuner hour to explain the program to teachers. A survey showed that more teachers would attend a workshop if light refreshments and door prizes are provided. AdvanWges If Approved: Teachers will agree to attend the workshop and teach the Risk Watch curriculum. Injuries to school-age children will drop. Disadvantages If Approved: None. Disadvantages If Not Approved: School-age children in the Ciry of Saint Paul will continue to be seriously injured.
