WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department's training unit is conducting the 2006 Recruit Academy
Training; and
WHEREAS, this training is of an advanced nature and the facilities required must provide multi-purpose
ranges, a mock village where simulations will be conducted and must include structures for tactical
entry, £trearms, emergency driving, and confidence training; and
WHEREAS, this training will take place on July 9- 14, 2006 at the United States Army Base located
at Camp Ripley, Little Falls, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this training is to increase the abilities and competencies of
recruit officers; and
BE IT ORDERED, that the proper city official(s) are hereby authorized to pay for
Police Academy training meals, not to exceed $5,500, from account code 436-34117.
A copy of said order is to be kept on £le and on record in the Office of Financial Services.
