1 WFIEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department's training unit is conducting academy training; and

3 WHEREAS, this training is of an advanced nature and the facilifies required must provide multi-purpose
4 ranges, a mock village where simularions will be conducted and must include structures for tactical
5 entry, firearms, emergency driving, and confidence training; and
6
7 WI3EREAS, this training will take place on January 9-13, 2006 at the United States Army Base located
8 at Camp Ripley, Fort Ripley, Minnesota; and
9
10 WHEREAS, the public purpose of this training is to increase the abilities and competencies of recruit
11 officers; and
12
13 BE IT ORDERED, that the proper city officials are hereby ordered to pay for Police Academy training
14 meals, not to exceed $3,000.00, from account code 43b-34117. A copy of said order is to be kept on file
15 and on record in the Office of Financial Services.
