1 WI�REAS, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education Deparlsnent sponsors fee based programs to
2 raise dollars for operating pmgrams, and

4 WHEREAS, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education uses the following businesses to provide food
5 for the birthday pariy programs: Dominos Pizza (Pierce Butler in St. Paul), Sam's Club (Maplewood)
6 and Cub Foods (Midway) and food is purchased for the number of pre-paid reservation b ests only, and

8 WHEREAS, The birthday party events planned for 2005 are expected to generate a net revenue of
9 approximately $19,000 and the adult programs will generate $850, and
10
11 NOW, THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED that the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education
12 Depariment is authorized to purchase food items and to pay companies who provide food for programs
13 in the amount not to exceed $4,500. from activity code 33141.
