WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department is seeking authorization to purchase food for the
ciergy academy to be held September 19, 2005, at the Humanities Education Center a1
987 East Ivy Avenue in Saint Paul.
WHEREAS, this event will help fulfill our agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice to
provide a clergy academy for the Value Based Initiative Grant.
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this event is to enhance community policing, increase public
safety, develop on-going relationships with faith-based communities and to educate and share
information on domestic violence, the response of the St. Paul Police Department to this problem
and the resources available for clergy and faith-based communities in St. Paul to address
domestic violence.
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department is requesting an administrative order to allow no
more than $2,500 from account 436-34057-Oxxx to cover costs of food, beverages, serving and
eating utensils and other miscellaneous expenses.
BE IT ORDERED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to pay for the above mentioned
expenses,notto exceed $2,500.00.
