l0 Ti�e Council of the City of Saint Paul has conducted a public hearing upon the above improvement,
11 due notice thereof having been given as prescribed by the City Charter; and

13 WHEREAS, the Council has heard all persons, objections and recommendations pertaining to said
14 proposed improvement and has fully considered the same; now, therefore, be it
15
16 RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby order that the above-described
17 improvement be made, and the proper City officers are hereby directed and authorized to proceed with the
18 improvement; and be it

2 0 FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon the completion of said improvement, the proper City officers
21 shall calculate all expenses incurred therein and shall report the same to the City Council in accordance
2 2 with Chapter 14 of the City Charter.

No sidewalks exist on the above mentioned azea. The sidewalks are being proposed for the south side of the street only. The present
tenain condirion is unsafe for wallcers.
Advantages If Approved:
The community will benifit from this project because it wil provide a safe pedestrian route for its citizens. The sidewalk contracts are
done by private contractors generating public sector jobs as a result.
Disadvar�tages If Approved: '
Unhappy property owners will have to shovel newly created sidewalks.
Disadvantages If Not Approved:
Pedrestrians will still need to walk in the street to get to public ameniries.
